Mi malsamopinias pri la neceso de -n ĉi-kaze, sed mi aldonis -a ĉe daŭris.

Daŭris kelkajn semajnojn signifus "Daŭris dum kelkaj semajnoj" kiu estas sensencaĵo. (krom se *io* vere daŭris dum kelkaj semajnoj, sed ĉi tie nenio pasis kelkajn semajnojn, krom la semajnoj mem, kiuj estas ĉi tie subjekto, ne tempo-esprimo. Komparu kun "Kelkaj semajnoj daŭris".
Komparu ankaŭ kun "pasis kelkaj samajnoj".
Sed ja: "Li laboris tie kelkajn semanojn".

Estimata papiliĉasisto, via ĵus farita propono "Pasis kelkaj semajnoj" estas la plej bona solvo. Tio evidentiĝas, se oni komparas la difinojn de "pasi" kaj "daŭri" en PIV.
Jen ekzemplo el la literaturo tre simila al via frazo. "Pasis pluraj jaroj, ĝis mi iun tagon revenis al Parizo." legeblas en traduko de Ferenc Szilágyi, kiu aperis en la nica literatura revuo.
