Esta frase no parece tener el mismo sentido que:

Lucía sabe latín.

En un sentido no literal, decir que alguien sabe latin se entiende como que sabe mucho, aunque en realidad no sepa latin.

Podria ser una abreviacion de "Sabe de todo hasta latin."

De hecho es el significado mas probable cuando oigas la frase en un entorno informal. jeje

En España creo que es una expresion bastante extendida.
Pensaba en ponen non literal como etiqueta, pero no tenia claro en cual de las dos frases debia ponerla, lo voy a poner en esta.
