Bemerkung: Es gibt — wenig überraschend — beliebig lange (sinnvolle) Wörter. Beweis: Sei n irgendeine natürliche Zahl und P = (Versammlungsvorsteher)ⁿ das Kompositum, das entsteht, indem man das Wort „Versammlungsvorsteher“ n-mal hintereinanderschreibt (nur der allererste Buchstabe wird groß geschrieben).

Für n = 1 ist P der Vorsteher einer Versammlung, also ein Versammlungsvorsteher. Ist jedes Mitglied der Versammlung seinerseits Versammlungsvorsteher, so ist P, für n = 2, Versammlungsvorsteherversammlungsvorsteher. Ist allgemein jedes Mitglied der Versammlung ein (Versammlungsvorsteher)ⁿ, so ist P ein (Versammlungsvorsteher)ⁿversammlungsvorsteher, also ein (Versammlungsvorsteher)ⁿ⁺¹.
