Does this sentence both mean a passive sentence (Was the door closed by Tom?) and a state of being (How was the door? - It was closed.) ???
(and 'It was closed' means both state of being and passive sentence, right?)
What would happen if I said ''Was the door close?'' ?
Does this sentence have two meanings:
One of them is location ''Was the door far or close?'' and state of being.

Thanks for your explanation, Nero.
I couldn't be sure when I didn't see any comments by CK about the sentence.
