”トムはもう寝床に行った” is much closer to the original sentence.
This expression, however, I have never seen used in real life; so I'm not adding this.

And what about 「トムはもう寝床に入った。」? Would it sound natural?

"トムはもう寝床に入った。"
Sort of sounds natural. And I won't stop anyone adding that.

But I've never heard either "寝床に入った。" or "寝床に行った。" used; They are probably used in Manga or TV dramas though.

To be honest, I don't exactly know the meaning of the word "寝床" either; bed? a place allotted for sleeping? sounds a little vulgar but is it?

So I want to let someone who actually use the word do the job here.
