"っと"は特別の意味がありますか？

辞書を引くと、「と」の欄に「っと」の説明が載っているものがあります。

《「…っと」の形で》軽く言い放つのに使う。
「もう帰ろうっと」「そんなこと知らないっと」
（『明鏡国語辞典』）

話し言葉では、相手に向かって自分の主張を言い放つときに、終助詞のように用いることがある。
（例）もう知らないっと／帰ろうっと／それでと。
（『小学館日本語新辞典』）

なんだか何それって感じですが、訳してみると意味がよく分かります。「夜は早めに食べよう」だと let's の意味に取るのも自然ですが、「っと」がつくと、これはほぼ確実に (I think) I'll の意味になります。

相手に誘いかけているのではなく、ただ自分はそうするつもりだというのを告げている（あるいは独り言として言っている）のです。
