
I can't understand this sentence.

"To do him justice" has the same meaning as "to give him his due". Both phrases are used to acknowledge something good about a person.
A related phrase "does not do him justice" is used when something reflect unfairly on someone. For example, if you have a bad photo of someone you might say "I've got a photo of him, but it doesn't do him justice." (he actually looks much better).
