Thought: the word 'people' might be redundant in English, even though it exists in the original sentence; from my experience, "cute" seems to refer to some affectionate air (миленький, милашка) and not to a trait of character as the Russian word does in this context, so I suggest "lovely" if possible; if that's not good either, then we'd probably have to settle with "nice".
