It looks like it. I think we should probably distinguish between archaic and old-fashioned at some point, though.
My definition being that if my dad would have heard it used - it's old fashioned, not archaic. ;-)
On second thoughts, this one is probably just weird.
It would normally be
"He will leave the parental roof soon."
wouldn't it?
"leaves" is okay, IMO. More colloquial though.
