I am a bit unsure of whether to use "de" or "dem" about the books. If you're curious, "de" marks the plural subject of the sentence, the speaker is not part of this group. "Dem" marks the plural object of the sentence, the speaker is, as before, not a part of this group.

Det ska inte vara ”dem” i meningen ovan. ”Dem” objektsform av tredje person pluralis (de, dem). I den här meningen behöver vi fristående bestämd artikel (den, det, de). Eftersom böckerna står i pluralis väljer vi alltså ”de”. :)

Men min förklaring är helt åt skogen. Jag insåg det först när jag redan åkt till jobbet. ”De här” i meningen ovan är ett demonstrativt pronomen och inte någon fristående bestämd artikel. Resultatet är detsamma, men rätt ska vara rätt. ;D
