Ĉu oni diras demandojn aŭ simple demandas?

Ĝenerale mi preferas simple "demandi". Sed ĉu en tiu ĉi frazo tio estas la plej trafa traduko? Mi iom dubas pri tio. Certe eblas aldoni "Ĉion ĉi mi demandis ...". Sed samtempe mi ne vidas indikon, ke la supra, pli longa frazo estas malĝusta.

Lau vortaro.net oni faras, metas au direktas demandon. Eble 'prezenti demandon' ankau taugus. Mi ne povas bone ekspliki kial 'diri demandon' ne sonas nature al mi.

@Aleksandro, ĉu "diri demandon" ne sonas al vi kiel "iri viziti" (redundo: en la vorto "demando" jam estas subkomprenita la nocio diri, kiel en "viziti" jam kuŝas la ideo iri.)
Kun demando, mi ofte renkontis (kaj uzis) la verbon starigi.
