Beide Möglichkeiten sind erlaubt.
Maria spricht Spanisch./Maria spricht spanisch.

Es besteht aber schon ein Unterschied. Hier würde ich „Was spricht sie?“ oder „Welche Sprache spricht sie?“ fragen. Das deutet darauf hin, daß die Sprache Spanisch gemeint ist. Siehst Du eher ein Adverb?

Und mich interessiert, wie sie spricht, und dementsprechend benutze ich das Adverb. So ergibt sich der Unterschied.
