„Abschlußarbeit“ ist allgemeiner.

修（士）論（文）や博（士）論（文）は「卒（業）論（文）」ではありません。「卒（業）論（文）」は主に大学の学部、まれに高校や中学の卒業の際に書く論文です。

卒業 = Abschluß, 論文 = Arbeit, 卒業論文 = Abschlußarbeit. Wo ist hier der Fehler?

Dem Begriffe nach ist das irgendeine Arbeit, die man anfertigt, um irgendeinen Abschluß zu bekommen. Es kann eine universitäre Bachelor- oder Doktorarbeit sein, muß es aber nicht. Auch die Abschlußarbeit irgendeines Lehrgangs ist denkbar.

卒業論文 - 一般的には学士号の取得の為に書かれる、大学の卒業論文を指す。

ってのが実際の使われ方に合ってると思うんだ。ぼくの日本語の文を聞いたら、普通だったら大学の学部生 (Bachelor) なんだなって思うはず。修士課程だったら修論って言うだろうし博士課程だったら博論って言うだろうから。
