Por que não é preciso utilizar o verbo reflexivo 'relaxar-se' dado que 'relaxar' pode ser transitivo?

Porque, neste caso (Eu estava apenas descansando), é mais natural o uso intransitivo do verbo relaxar. É o que me parece. ☺
