Für mich hört sich das so an, als ob es anderswo nicht gesprochen wird. Für mein Gefühl wäre die natürlichere Satzstellung: In den Vereinigten Staaten wird Englisch gesprochen.

Du hast recht, aber der Esperantosatz hat die gleiche Wortstellung und die gleiche Nuance, jedenfalls nach meinem Empfinden. Man könnte den Satz eventuell als beispielhafte Antwort auf die Frage „Wo wird Englisch gesprochen?“ verstehen.
