ぼくはこの「は」には対比の意味（私は歩いて行けるけれどあなたは、など）を感じるのですが、arnabさんはいかがでしょうか？
ぼくにとっては英文からはその意味は決して自明ではないので、学習者の誤解につながらないか心配です。

“反訳”可能性はたしかにとても大事なのですが、それにこだわりすぎると別のところで支障が生じることになってしまいます。
「タクシーで行くほうがいいと思います。」のように主語が何でもありえてしまうものはぼくも避けたいと思っていますが、このような文の場合、最後に「よ」をつければ、主語は you か we にほぼ限定される気がします（たぶん）ので、ぼくだったら「タクシーで行った方がいいと思いますよ。」というような文を追加して、we の訳を加えてもらうことにします。
