And this is true for the Guarani too: "X ndive" = "(together) with X". "Friends" rather than "people" would have been appropriate for the Guarani in fact.

True, I can't explain that -- nothing in Word Reference for example about such a translation of "junto a" -- but like I said, the Guarani is unambiguous: "ajevy che irũ nguéra ndive" = "I returned with my friends". And the same person wrote the Spanish and Guarani sentences (PauloSamuel), making me think the Guarani sentence is actually the original.
