Comme = parce que

Hayır her zaman değil.
Comme=As anlamına da gelir. Ve bu da türkçeye yaklaşık olarak "gibi" diye çevrilir. Tam çevirisi "sıkıştığım gibi, (yani sıkışır sıkışmaz) taksi tutabilirdim." O yüzden ben bu şekilde çevirdim.

I clearly see that "dolayı" should be used here :)

But no, it isn't exactly. She/he didn't write "à cause de" or "donc" or "alors".. how can I translate as "dolayı"?

As brauchinet wrote above, in this sentence "comme" means "because", and should be translated accordingly. See, for example, the English translation [#256846] of the French sentence, where "as" is used which means "because".

What about this?
"Acelemden dolayı, taksi tutmalıydım."

I've translated for french sentence but yes, "acelemden" it is possible. But presser in french it means sıkışmak. But yes, I can translate as you said me. But I am not sure, it is really "dolayı"? OK, I'll change as you said.
Ah I see now, "taksi tutmak zorunda kaldım"

Yes, I like this much more! Thank you.

"être pressé" = "be in a hurry", so "acelem" is a good translation here, don't worry :)

Thank you, me too.

Thank you both.
