Comme=As anlamına da gelir. Ve bu da türkçeye yaklaşık olarak "gibi" diye çevrilir. Tam çevirisi "sıkıştığım gibi, (yani sıkışır sıkışmaz) taksi tutabilirdim." O yüzden ben bu şekilde çevirdim.

As brauchinet wrote above, in this sentence "comme" means "because", and should be translated accordingly. See, for example, the English translation [#256846] of the French sentence, where "as" is used which means "because".
