When we offer to translate a sentence, we're told not to forget punctuation marks. I'm assuming that this refers to the original sentence. The person who created the sentence in question should have been told to remove the exclamation point because the situation described didn't warrant one. Yes, punctuation isn't the same across languages, but in this case, it is a matter of emphasis and there was no reason to include an exclamation mark in the first place.
There is no reason why the above sentence should not be an exclamation. Perhaps there was a lot of traffic on that street and the person had to shout.

The exclamation mark or exclamation point is a punctuation mark usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume (shouting), and often marks the end of a sentence.
CK, I honestly think that without the exclamation mark, the sentence is humdrum and with the exclamation mark it is more heartfelt.
