If I come across a quote with the attribution "Anonymous," I'll just leave it that way. If someone is interested in tracking down the source (assuming it can be done), he or she can do that and share that information with others.
I've read Rule 6 and think I know what is expected. Thanks for your help.

The point is that no annotations are allowed in an example sentence. I've added it as a tag, so you can safely remove the part in brackets from your sentence.

Thanks. Should I assume that when I use a quote, someone else will add a tag? Or do I have to do something to generate one myself?

It would be nice if you'd post a short comment. Then an advanced contributor or a corpus maintainer will add a tag.

Would you kindly tell me how to post a comment of this kind. When I add a sentence, I don't see a comment box there, so WHEN would I add a comment and HOW? Please provide explicit instructions. I'd like very much to indicate the source of my quotes. I just don't know how this is done.

After adding a sentence, click the blue circle on the left of the sentence to go to the sentence page. If you click it while pressing the Ctrl key, (I hope) the page opens in a new tab. Then you can add a comment.

I followed your instructions and they worked perfectly. Thanks so much! Now when I use a quote, I will know how to provide the source.
