Please check. I'm especially unsure about "client". It's what the dictionary gives, but it seems to me that in this sentence, it's not very clear what kind of client is meant. What I meant to say with it is "the person who commisiones the house to be built".

Also, does there happen to be an existing English expression for "tile beer"? I just litterally translated it.

It's fine. "Client" makes sense.

"Tile beer" doesn't exist in English (well, you never know), so there's nothing wrong with translating it this way.

This sentence was initially added as a translation of sentence #402602In Nederland is het de gewoonte dat, wanneer bij de bouw van een huis het hoogste punt bereikt is en de dakpannen gelegd kunnen worden, de opdrachtgever de bouwvakkers op zogenaamd "pannenbier" trakteert om dit te vieren. Er wordt dan een vlag in de nok van het huis geplaatst. Is de opdrachtgever te gierig om te trakteren, dan wordt geen vlag, maar een bezem geplaatst..
