我觉得按照中文的习惯应该是这样的。

谢谢，我是凭语感写的。感觉如果说“短时间内掌握英语很重要”当然也很好，只是谓语部分太“轻”，感觉有点失衡。我作为母语者，经常听到“贯注全力去做一件事是很重要的”这样的话，也觉得非常自然。不知道这是否是南北差异（我平时说北京官话）？

我觉得这句话如果是我，我会这样写：
在短时间内掌握英语很重要。

一直觉得“是XX的”这种说法翻译腔过重，所以在Tatoeba看到之后我一般会不假思索的评论，其实你这样写也有道理。（也是有道理的^_^）现代汉语的语法本来就是中西结合的产物。

一般很多外国人会从字面上翻译：

I am happy.
我是高兴的。

这样的翻译在我们看来问题就比较明显了。你这句话应该没有问题。
