I can't imagine someone saying this:
eng
What? Does it please you?
1. The "What?" doesn't go with the "Does it please you?"
2. "Does it please you?" sounds overly formal or archaic.
Perhaps "Well? What do you think?" or "Well? Do you like it?" was intended.

Maybe "Are you satisfied with it?" was the intended meaning.
The "What?" sounds strange to me, too.
I wonder what he's trying to say.
Maybe, ...
So, do you like it?

You have made something for someone else hoping that it will please them. Upon the big reveal, you look at the person's face and can't quite tell what they are thinking. You then say "What?" as a rhetorical question, hinting that you want to know what the other person is thinking/feeling. You then, optimistically, in hopes that the person is satisfied with what you have made for them, utter the second part of this sentence, "Does it please you?"
I don't see a problem with the sentence. I've definitely used it, as have many of my friends, usually with a somewhat sarcastic tone, but we have used it in speech nonetheless.
