This is not in the original and, while nice, is not their style. I assume it is a kind of introduction added to one of the translations or re-narrations. I would suggest removing the tag.

It seems to be present in an 1876 translation by J.N. Valkhoff, as well as several other translations. It comes from the story "Hans in Luck". It's also on Wikisource: https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/...)/Hans_in_Luck You're right that it doesn't seem to appear in the original: https://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Hans_im_Gl%C3%BCck
