There are two person in the sentence. the one who is asking and the other one who responded that s/he doesn't know.

Are there any mistakes with my translation? thank you.

Dispensá conmigo / Dispensame, for us would mean as follows: forgive me, sorry, pardon, excuse me.

Native speakers probably wouldn't say "about that", or "forgive me" in this case. I would delete the other sentence.

Maybe just removing the last two words? The "acerca de ese" is implied :)

-> "How to start this motorcycle?" "Sorry, I really have no idea."

Cueyayotl: Hi! How would the sentence would?
I think in PHilippine English it is acceptable but maybe its quite different in American English, British English or in Australian English.

Please do the correction>>>

Qué modo <> How
funcioná este motociclo <> to start this motorcycle/bike

Dispensá ya tú conmigo <> Forgive me
porque no hay gat yo idea <> because i have no idea
acerca de ese <> about that.

Original Sentence:
¿Qué modo funcioná este motociclo? Dispensá ya tú conmigo porque no hay gat yo idea acerca de ese.

Translations:
"How to start this motorcycle?" "Sorry, I really have no idea about that."
How to start this motorcyle? Forgive me, because I really have no idea about that.

RIght, I understand your reasoning :)

I believe that just saying "I really have no idea." implies the second part of the Chavacano sentence "...acerca de ese". A native English speaker (In the USA, at least) would probably not say "...about that". Here in Tatoeba, we prefer natural translations instead of literal translations.

Also, I know that "Dispensá ya tú conmigo" CAN be translated as "Forgive me", but in this particular scenario, I don't think anyone would say "Forgive me".

If you need TWO translations, you could consider a different translation of "¿Qué modo funcioná este motociclo?"

My suggestions would be:
"How to start this motorcycle?" "Sorry, I really have no idea."
"How do you start this motorcycle?" "Sorry, I really have no idea." [Notice that 'you' does not necessarily mean 'you', the person you are speaking to.]
