I don't understand the meaning of this sentence. Could you please tell me its meaning in English coz "倒" means "pour" in English
So I don't know how we can pour a dish...

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:05:40 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

It is intended here with the meaning "to serve".

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:07:15 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

I don't know what a good English translation would be. "Come, I'll serve some food for you." doesn't sound very natural. The speaker is basically taking dishes out of the big pot or something and putting it in a bowl or something else for the listener to eat from.

So I think that it should be "夹菜", because "倒" is used for water or drinks

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:09:38 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

I'll change it to 夹菜 then... Maybe 倒菜 is some regional variation...

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:10:17 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

"Come up and get some grub" maybe...

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:25:36 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

fucongcong fucongcong August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:27:02 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:28:11 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:29:10 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

fucongcong fucongcong August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:29:19 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:31:03 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

fucongcong fucongcong August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:32:48 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

sysko sysko August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:39:36 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:41:23 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

(Sysko 。。)

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:45:23 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

fucongcong fucongcong August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:46:16 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:49:31 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:52:45 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

sysko sysko August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 1:55:21 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

FeuDRenais FeuDRenais August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 2:03:52 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink

88 à toutes et à tous.

minshirui minshirui August 28, 2010 August 28, 2010 at 2:14:59 AM UTC flag Report link Permalink
