Мне одной кажется, что русский перевод не совсем адекватный?)

Да, русский перевод звучит, как будто там был тест на беременность. Само предложение «Её тест показал положительный результат» гуглится (в контексте беременности) два раза:
«Если можно назвать объявлением то, что мы застукали ее идущей в туалет с тестом на беременность. Ее тест показал положительный результат» [1]
«И спустя 3 месяца от начала нашей переписки и после отпуска в другой стране ее тест показал положительный результат!» [2]

Т.е. предложенеи вполне возможное. Может, просто отсоединить это предложение?

Само по себе предложение вполне корректное, согласен. Но, может быть, автор захочет его изменить? Или это маловероятно? :-)
