
I don’t think this matches the Japanese, which says “I need to work again”.

Although I'm familiar with almost any unfamiliar English grammatical pattern, I'd love you to help me make sure of the meaning of this sentence. How would you rephrase it without the double negative?

Maybe:
I can't be out of work again.
I can't go without working again.
I can't go without a job again.
or, as gillux suggested:
I need to work again.
