Paul Blay's Grammar + No Grammar = This

I can't find any sentences with “swim [a/the] river” in Tatoeba’s database. Can you show me them?
By the way, http://tatoeba.org/sentences/show/540756 :)

> Try "swim in the river" or "swim across the river"
No, these abound. :)
All the jokes follow the same pattern (subject and object swapped, no articles), so “In Soviet Russia, river swims in you (you in?)” is expected. But it’s different.
So I think FeuDRenais means that a river can be a direct object. I guess it’s what he called “Paul Blay’s grammar”.
(And it is certainly not a put on a Russian grammar, because we say ‘плавать в реке’/‘swim in [the] river’ in Russian.)
(If FeuDRenais meant to make a Runglish sentence and calque the Russian verb ‘переплыть реку’, he would have written ‘river reswims you’ or sth like this.)

(*not a pun on Russian grammar)

Paul made a sentence that went something like "This river is dangerous to swim in July", and there was a small debate about it, because both I and minshirui thought you needed one more "in", but Paul insisted that it was fine to say "swim a river". This joke is a reference to that (sorry for the confusion).
@Demetrius: Thankfully, I haven't repeated it 2^8 times yet. Also, some jokes are classic. And also, you are probably biased against this joke because it makes fun of the way many Russians use English grammar (!) :-)

What do you want to say‽ Russian-speakings talk on English very well! ^^ Everyone knows that Russian (and specially Belarusian) education's systems are the best in light!
But in any happening, classic jokes must be in one exemplar. ;) But not need to have very many they's variants.
> Thankfully, I haven't repeated it 2^8 times yet'
I talked “256” because it a round number.

Dear Demetrius: Tatoeba is not about jokes.

(Hmmm. «But not need to have very many they's variants» is unlikely to be said by a Russian. «But to us not need very many they’s variants» is better.)

By the way, what is this symbol: ‽ ?

> Dear Demetrius: Tatoeba is not about jokes.
Dear FeũDRenais,

> By the way, what is this symbol: ‽ ?
It is intended to be an interrobang. It should be ? and ! combined.
It’s not really used in any language, but I like it and use it sometimes. ^^ Not on Tatoeba, though.
