I can't imagine these two sentences mean the same.

I've used "libreta", that is a small book or a notebook with not many sheets used by account holders to manage their accounts, because it's a mechanism that many people use to get of money from an ATM, so "libreta de ahorros" has a specific meaning in many spanish speaking countries.

Ok.
Maybe we should unlink these sentences. Let's see if the English will be modified.
I'm pretty sure the English sentence is just about reading a book in a quiet place.
