C'est un terme de spécialiste. On dit l'éclosion de l'incendie, le point d'éclosion, etc.

L'incendie a pris... paraît un peu bizarre, mais c'est très utilisé dans les journaux.

Merci de ne pas ajouter de traduction française à une autre phrase française qui n'en demande pas.
Cette phrase est correcte en tant que telle. Vous pouvez la trouver par exemple dans tous les livres traitant de feux en tout genre plus tous les sites Internet de pompiers, du gouvernement, presse, etc.
Si le mot est inconnu au lecteur, la section Commentaires est là pour ça.

Toutes ces phrases auraient dû être reliées à la phrase anglaise (et à d'autres peut-être), pas à celle-ci.
