Creo que "al" no encaja nada bien. "desconfío al futuro" la veo sin sentido alguno puesto que aquí (España) empleamos "desconfiar de" en la mayoría de las ocasiones, incluso cuando mencionamos conceptos no físicos, por ejemplo, "desconfío de mi suerte", "desconfio del destino". No se si en tu tierra usais la misma preposición que nosotros.
