Kleopatra VII. Philopator, jene berühmteste Königin dieses Namens, geboren im Jahre 69 vor Christi Geburt in Alexandria. Die Pyramiden von Giseh wurden etwa zweieinhalb Jahrtausende vorher, in den Jahren von 2620 bis 2500 v. Chr., zur Zeit der 4. Dynastie erbaut. Somit ist es eine faszinierende Tatsache – die Ehrfurcht vor diesem Jahrtausende überdauernden Reich der Ägypter herausbeschwört –, daß der zeitliche Abstand zu unserer heutigen Zeit in der Tat geringer war.
