Ich finde, dass der Satz in sich in Ordnung ist.

Persönlich würde ich der Prägnanz wegen etwas umstellen oder umformulieren.

Etwa so: Ich habe es schon so lange nicht mehr gemacht, dass ich es vergessen habe.
Wahrscheinlich passender: ..., dass ich vergessen haben, wie es geht.

Oder: Ich hab's schon total vergessen, so lange hab ich's nicht mehr gemacht.

Mit aufgehübschten Apostrophen: Ich hab’s schon total vergessen, so lange hab ich’s nicht mehr gemacht. (Nämlich den Samba tanzen)
