Education systems are different in different countries so are the naming conventions. I decidaded to leave "high school" translated as only "escola" (school) even though its literal translation would be "colegial". Also, I live in Brazil and in my region we don't tend to differentiate between middle school and high school in daily speech and I think this is common in the whole country so leaving it like this should make the sentence more natural, at least in a Brazilian context. For the untranslated word "crush", only the younger people or the people more used to the internet and social media really use and we tend to use it as it is, no translation required. Keep in my that "crush" can be translated and using it translated would make the sentence somewhat more formal.
