Frecuentemente, os galegos tendemos a empregar a preposición A diante de todo complemento directo. Isto é un calco do castelán e polo tanto trátase dunha incorrección, posto que a normativa di que só debemos empregar a preposicón A diante dun complemento directo cando se trate dun pronome tónico ou incluso tamén sería válido o seu uso cos nomes propios.
No resto dos casos debemos prescindir da súa utilización.

Polo tanto debemos dicir: o home peitea O seu can cun cepillo, en lugar de: o home peitea AO seu can cun cepillo,
xa que "o seu can" é complemento directo na oración (o home peitéao) e como dixen anteriormente, en galego non se usa a preposición A co complemento directo.
