This sentence gender neutral.
"Ĝi" in this sentence is translated from "their" which both are gender neutral third-person personal pronouns.

"Genevo" in the plural "genevoj" would be a wrong translation of the English word "nibling". In the English sentence, there's only one nibling.
A nibling is a niece or nephew of who we don't want to mention a gender by using one of the gender-specific terms.

Isn't the most accurate translation of "nibling" to Esperanto "genevo"?
