
No, we spell it "tiger" too, but this is a quote from a poem by Blake, and he spells it "tyger".

It's meant to be a metaphor for something or other. (For interest's sake, more here: http://www.pathguy.com/tyger.htm .) But it's not at all obvious to me what it means without reading and analysing the poem, so personally I'm not sure it's a great sentence for Tatoeba, unless you just want to keep the literal meaning of a tiger on fire.
