Here I spelled "sie" with minuscule and not with capital as it should normally be at the beginning of a sentence.
If I spelled it "Sie" you would not know whether it would be the polite form (singular or plural) or the 3rd form in plural. "sie" could also be the 3rd form feminine singular, but with the verb in plural, it is clear.

See also the other complaints about my not using capitals in general, and my comment to the phrase "Glaube mir!".

Die Doppeldeutigkeit läßt sich hier nicht vermeiden. Wir müssen uns an die Rechtschreibung halten. Der Satz muß korrigiert werden.

Der deutsche Satz, der noch nicht mit dem englischen verknüpft ist, müsste eben zwei Übersetzungen bekommen: They have let me go. / You have let me go.

Analoges gilt wohl für die anderen Sprachen.

(Wobei mir das You have let me got im Englischen auch nicht unbedingt natürlich vorkommt.)
