Wird "hunderttausende" hier nicht klein geschrieben, weil es in diesem Satz kein Substantiv sonder adjektiv ist?

Nö! Laut meinem Duden wird die Großschreibung empfohlen, da es sich hier um eine unbestimmte, d. h. nicht in Ziffern schreibbare, Mengenangabe handelt.
Zum Beispiel Tausend Menschen, Bäume, Abertausend Büroklammern oder Abertausende Sterne. Keiner weiß also, wieviel es genau sind.
