Мне кажется, «вообразила» звучит естественнее, чем «воображает».
Впрочем, запятая нужна, да.

Исправлено.

Do the tenses of the Russian and English match?

No
"Девочка воображает" => "The girl imagines"
"Девочка вообразила" => "The girl imagined"

If I see a correct sentence that is an incorrect translation, I just unlink it and sub a correct translation instead. Bit puzzling that it's not the usual practice, really.

I'd feel a bit like I'm stealing the sentence from them if I did that, even though I think that makes more sense. It's general practise with mistakes of any kind to just inform them, so I guess that's the default response
Though this also has to be done if the correction is latent and other people have translated the translation
