pergunta: por que o "por que" é separado?

Nessa frase, "por que" esta errado. O correto é "porque". Para quem fala inglês, basta decorar:

why = por que
because = porque

"porque" introduz uma resposta ou uma explicação. "por que" introduz uma pergunta, seja direta ou indireta.

"Por que ele nao veio?" "Nao sei (por que ele nao veio)."

"Por que ele nao esta aqui?" "(Ele nao esta aqui) porque teve outro commpromisso".

De fato está incorreto. A frase original estava correta (conforme mostra o histórico), o que acontece é que estive corrigindo algumas frases de outros usuários e acabei mudando esta frase.
