Mais ça ne voudrait pas dire la même chose je crois.

Avec either, ça voudrait dire : "les gens utilisent des ordinateurs soit pour les jeux, soit pour le travail", alors que both signifie "les gens utilisent des ordinateurs à la fois pour les jeux et le travail"
