
I don't understand the が , is it supposed to be sarcastic? or is there a subtle difference between 来る and やって来る?

I've heard it said that が is as much an 'and' as a 'but'. It's probably best to get a native check on this one, though.

「来る」は単純に「来る」ですが、「やって来る」だと、実際に人が向こうからこちらに向かってくる、現れる様子を私は思い浮かべます。
