
The English translation should be "Tatoeba is a dictionary", no? I would imagine that similar things may be said about the Italian, Spanish and maybe Esperanto too.

I agree, but these sentences was added only to translate the Tatoeba intro video. I hope they delete them later. The original audio in English says "language dictionary".

Well, maybe the emphasis should be on "multi-lingual" which i know is missing in the original video, but i think its the meaning of it.
Also, please keep on translating the subtitles so we can further promote tatoeba.
P.S: Why do you think the sentences should be deleted afterwards?

I would suggest the Universal Subtitles project (a Mozilla supported project) as a way to make subtitling and translations easier for potential contributors.
