I made a search for "neither-nor". I got Tom&Mary-sentences on the 50 pages.
Is the filter automatically switched on for "Tom and Mary"?
I only see an average to bit higher amount of Tom and Mary, but not only those two.

just wanted to thank you for providing all the sentences and also thanks to the people that keep this website running.
I ended up here in trying to find example sentences to practice some Swedish. Since you are offering downloads, I could even integrate the sentences into my vocabulary trainer that I had mainly built to learn the React web framework.
In case anybody has a use for an online vocabulary trainer based on Tatoeba data, feel free to try it out on https://augustuskling.github.io/lingo/ (no accounts nor personal data needed). Let me know if you want courses for other languages pairs.
Note that this is just a spare time project and no polished product. Source code is published on https://github.com/AugustusKling/lingo/ for the interested people.

Course data is downloaded on first use or when it's outdated. It is stored in your browser's CacheStorage (see https://developer.mozilla.org/e...I/CacheStorage )
Your progress is stored in your browser's localStorage (see https://developer.mozilla.org/e...w/localStorage ).
Non technically speaking:
* Course data without personal data is cached in your browser.
* Personal data (learning progress) is also stored in your browser.
* There is no backend webservice that could store personal data.
* If you clear "site data" or however it's called in your browser all data is gone.
So it works the same like an add-on. I love this solution, although I can't change platforms (I mean from computer to phone).
It's a bit strange feeling for me after I do something correctly (when choosing the words), it instantly goes to the next example. Can you make it to stay? I think it would be helpful reading the sentence once again, because maybe I just guessed a word and I really like to remember it.

I don't intend to add a server part for data sync. This means if you access the website from different devices or browsers, their data is independent.
Regarding the confirmation of correct sentences: Whilst I personally prefer not having a message there and skipping to the next exercise instantly, I can understand other people prefer it differently. Since it was not too much trouble I've added an option in the course selection screen to let you control the behavior.
Regardless of which option is active you can always click the "Info" button to display the sentence along with the known translations (aka correct answers).

Hello, I really like the pimsleur language program and I am hoping to make similair 30min lessons for myself using the sentence database here and chatgpt or some AI to quickly generate conversations from this database. But basically what I want are 30 conversations with sentence by sentence repetitions/translations into the target language. Has anyone developed something like this already? I am a language teacher and this would be awesome to distribute to my students. Im not super computer literate or at least I cant program but it seems like with AI doing a project like this could be done without being insanely time consuming. Please commet to offer any help or advice.

ChatGPT has a lot of coherent and well-written things to say. Machine translators still make plenty of mistakes and translators on Tatoeba probably want to keep translating what they’ve already been translating. Artificial voices can sound good.

What is the regexp-ish expression to search for sentences containing the string "sizin" (without the quotes) but only if it does NOT occur by itself? In other words, I want to see sentences containing qsizin, aabbccsizin, zzzsizin, pqrssizin, but NOT sentences like "aaa bbb sizin ccc".
