Hi duran,
Does this sentence mean:
My grandmother died peacefully in the night?
Yes, because to say "went, deceased or passed away" is easier than to say "died":)
Thanks :)
So, "gitti" here ("went") actually means "died" in Turkish (I wasn't sure this was the case, so I asked).
Yes, you are sure now. We say for the ones who went earlier than expected: "O gözleri açık gitti." or "o çok erken gitti." Take care of yourself not to go early. See you.
Merci :)
Je vous en prie:)
