I would use "hiding" here, but "concealing" seems to be in use as well. I'll be interested as well to know what native English speakers think about this verb.

I would say "hiding".

Would a native speaker please confirm that this is just a matter of style and level of speech. "To conceal" is the more formal alternative, but since there is no context there's nothing wrong with sentence 1361646.
In everyday conversation we are more likely to hear "He is hiding something from me", of course.
Für alle, die sich mit Deutsch auskennen, sei hinzugefügt, dass m.E. die beiden deutschen Übersetzungen den stilistischen Unterschied ganz gut spiegeln. Ich finde,
der Satz "Er verbirgt etwas vor mir" passt besser zum Verb "conceal". In gesprochener Alltagssprache wird man eher hören: "Er verheimlicht mir etwas".
