This is a common Norwegian expression that really doesn't have any good English translation to it. Here are more that are very typical Norwegian that don't have any good translations unfortunately.

Takk på gjensyn. = Thank you, see you again/come again. (depending on the situation)
Takk så mye. = Thank you very much.
Tusen takk. = Thank you very much.
Tusen hjertelig takk. = Thank you very much.
Hjertelig takk. = Thank you.
Takk = Thank you.
