En fait à présent ton lien

http://tatoeba.org/fre/tags/sho...y_Around_the_W

sysko sysko August 30, 2012 August 30, 2012 at 12:09:45 PM UTC link Permalink

I will see if it's easy to fix the bug, otherwise I will replace the ":"

hello thanks for your remarks, may i suggest you to post further problems you see in the indices files as a reply to your previous messages in order to not spam too much the wall ?

not yet possible and would take time to make such a feature, though definitely a usefull one

as Sadhen said you can either desactivate them or also create a rules in your mailer so that they go in a dedicated folder without pertubating your inbox.

sysko sysko August 16, 2012 August 16, 2012 at 12:24:09 PM UTC link Permalink

Actually it's not possible to make a filter on the script (as ultimately we provide both, though one is currently automatically generated)

The languages you precise in your settings are only for the sentences and translations that will be displayed. If you want to make a search only in one language, you can precise it with the "from" field.

Thanks to Pongprapunt I'm glad to tell you that we now have audio recording in Thai, which makes it the 10th languages to have audio recording.

Me too I prefer to call them with their Chinese name, especially also because they have the weird tendency to those the same names as my grand parents "Janine" "Gertrude" "Bernadette" that does not sounds like the name of 20-somethings not-French years old girls

sysko sysko August 14, 2012 August 14, 2012 at 9:52:22 PM UTC link Permalink

I know some Chinese girls who take it as their "English name"

Well to make it short that's a very young teenager that get angry very easily and that for now more a year spent is time alternatively by creating new account (when he get a new IP address) or by trying to spam the server etc.

For the translation in Launchpad, yes that's in my todo list, actually before that was not me who was in charge of taking care of this but Trang so I admit to not know the process so it may take some times (as I've also received a lot of emails about user proposing me audio recording etc.)

by the way veryoldbooks was a fake boracasli account, I've blocke it (I needed sometimes to be sure enough it was)

If you have noticed a drop in the number of users don't worry it's normal I've just deleted ~6000 accounts that was created by a automatize process (they've been there for a long time but I didn't find time before to delete them)

sysko sysko August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 at 9:56:04 PM UTC link Permalink

personnaly i did use the "谢谢" / thanks as a way to notify the user I've applied the correction so that if (s)he is an advanced contributor he can check one last time and apply a "OK" tag if necessary. after if you're quite active you can desactivate the email notification and only rely on the feature provided by the interface

there's on your profile page a way to see the comment only on your sentences or you can check the sentences on which you posted comments, (or you can apply a tag @change and filter on chinese sentence to see if they've been corrected)

After if the user is a simple user, i most of the time only put a "thank you" comment one time a day.

Thank you a lot, I will try soon to move the blog on our own server as for the moment it's hosted on blogger which is not available in some countries.

I've added 6 new llanguages:

Xhosa,
Punjabi,
Malagasy,
Guarani,
Ladino
Piemontese

so Tatoeba now support more than 110, thanks to the contributors of these languages.

If I have forgotten to add some languages you requested to add, please tell me.

I think i know why, a bug on my side, the auto detect will only propose a language you've already significantly contributed in (more than 400 characters added in that language) but the database of the autodetect is refresh only every week, so as you're a new user it's certainly the following "bug"

you register
you start adding sentence in English and maybe some in French but still less than the 400 characters
the database refresh itself
you add sentence in French but for the moment the database think that you're only contributing in English so it will not propose French

I will try to correct ASAP this bug, by let's say not filtering if you are a new user with still not many contributions.

Bien le bonjour. :)

sysko sysko August 4, 2012 August 4, 2012 at 11:36:28 PM UTC link Permalink

by the way as a Chinese learner I'll be glad you check mine :), there's not that many because those older than 6 months (and i didn't contribute that much this 6 last months) already get checked by a Chinese friend of mine (the user fucongcong there)
